The focus of the offer is the extremely rare variety. Nido 7 Geisha. These beans thrive at the foot of the famous Mount Baru in Panama and are prized worldwide for their impeccable quality and complex, floral aroma.
The exclusivity of the batch led to an astronomical price at a specialized auction. According to the café, they acquired just 20 kilograms of this variety for a total of 2.2 million dirhams (approximately US$600,000). This sum marks the highest price ever paid for coffee beans in history.
The high purchase price is directly reflected in the end-consumer price: A single cup of Nido 7 Geisha costs the guest nearly $1000, making this coffee the ultimate status symbol.
From industrial area to coffee mecca
Surprisingly, this ultra-luxury café isn't located in one of Dubai's glittering shopping malls or hotels. Instead, the owners chose an industrial area as their location, which has recently transformed into an unexpected hotspot for discerning coffee lovers and foodies.
This transformation underlines Dubai's ambition to establish itself not only as a center for traditional luxury, but also as a global mecca for high-quality specialties and unique culinary experiences.
The owners emphasize that the nearly thousand-dollar beverage is not just coffee, but a unique sensory experience, the result of decades of cultivation and meticulous processing in Panama.
